Vaccines

Our work in vaccines focuses on making certain diseases a thing of the past.

Vaccines are one of the most important, effective preventive measures in medicine.1

Immunization through vaccination currently prevents 3,5-5 million deaths every year from diseases like diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, influenza, and measles.2

Value of vaccines

We are aware of our global responsibility, which is why we are always working to improve access to our vaccines now and in the future. Our broad vaccine portfolio prevents diseases that affect all stages of life - from childhood to adulthood.

How Vaccines work

Vaccines help the body's immune system recognize pathogens and fight them. Vaccines can protect against more than 20 diseases, some of which are life-threatening. Vaccinations can prevent serious diseases for example measles, chickenpox and HPV related diseases.2
